With the publication of Law No. 59/2026 \"On the Electricity Sector\", Albania has taken a significant step towards a modern, competitive and EU-aligned electricity market. Fully aligned with the EU's Clean Energy Package, the new law strengthens the legal framework for a more secure, efficient and consumer-oriented electricity sector while bringing Albania closer to European energy market standards.
